Beautiful wall vase Blue Blossom by artist Debbie Wijskamp. This designer always likes to explore the possibilities of the material she works with. I work a lot with natural materials and textures. Blue Blossem is inspired by ancient crockery and excavated pottery. I like it when you can see that pottery has a history and that it has been used. And I love the texture of pottery that has been underground for so long. It is special what time does to an object. The flower pot has a flat back with holes in it so that it can easily be hung on the wall. The pot has a rough bottom, but a polished top that is richly decorated with a Delft blue blossom that seems to crawl out of the vase/pot. The wall vase has a playful bottle shape with a bulbous belly at the front, which gives a plant enough space to grow, but the pot itself also remains clearly visible and is therefore a nice decorative object for the home.
